Our many meditation and mediation retreats will provide you with places of respite from the cares and stress of everyday life. Many tourists from Thailand and other Buddhist countries come to Bhutan specifically for meditation and retreat tours. Additionally most hotels also provide yoga sessions, retreats and meditation facilities within the hotel premises.

The traditional medicine of Bhutan is known as Sowa Rigpa and dates back to the 17th century when it first spilt from it Tibetan origins. Bhutan’s natural environment, with its exceptionally rich flora has enabled the development of an unparalleled pharmacopoeia. Indigenous medicine units have been established in all 20 Dzongkhags (districts) and can provide tourists with traditional remedies for any ailments they may have.

Hot springs or Tshachus as they are locally known can be found all over the Kingdom and their medicinal properties are known to cure various ailments ranging from arthritis to body aches and even sinuses.

Our Sample Itinerary for Wellness and Spa Holiday in Bhutan

DAY 01: Arrival in Paro - transfer you to Thimphu.

Arrival to Paro and Transfer to Thimpu

Rest and relax at the resort

Dinner and over night at Termalinca

Day 02: Thimphu.

Practice Yoga and meditation on your own (in the spacious yoga and meditation room over looking the River)

Breakfast At the main restaurant ( choice of Detox juice will be offered )

Thimpu site seeing: Visit Memorail Stupa and Tashichhodzong, the main fortress

Lunch at a local restaurant

Temple visit and blessing by a Buddhist Monk (temple in Thimpu)- Changangkha Lhakhang/temple)

Back to the resort and enjoy Hot stone bath at termerlinca Spa

Dinner and over night at Termalinca

DAY 03: Travel Thimhpu to Paro.

Breakfast At the main restaurant ( choice of Detox juice will be offered )

Visit to Buddha Point

Yoga practice by your own at the park (over looking the Thimpu Valley)

Ginger Tea and relaxation

Offer the flags at mountain peak which is believed to bring happiness, long life & prosper

Lunch at a local restaurant in Thimpu or picnic lunch in the woods if the weather is favorable

Leave to Paro after lunch

Check in at Zhiwaling Paro, relax and free time

optional: walk in the ancient Paro town in the evening

Dinner and over night at Zhiwaling

DAY 04: Paro.

Morning guided Yoga with 30 minutes chakra meditation @ Zhiwa Ling ( at the mediation room)

Breakfast at the resort

Detox juices at the spa

30 mins healing session with the spa manager

Lunch at the resort

Light butter lamps at old Bhutnese temple

Offer butter lamps and meditate for a while at Kyichu lhakhang, one of the oldest temple built in the 7th century. 10 mins drive from Zhiwaling hotel.

Evening: Menlha spa signature massage of 60 mins

Dinner and over night at Zhiwaling

DAY 05: Paro.

Breakfast at the resort

Climb the Tigers' nest

Meditation at Tigers' nest

Lunch after visiting monastery at the cafeteria

Relaxation massage at Menlha spa followed by hot stone Bath

Ginger or Bio herbal tea after spa treatments

Dinner and over night at Zhiwaling

DAY 06: Departure from Bhutan.
